Naomi Nevler(link is external) is a researcher at Penn Medicine's FTD Center(link is external), The focus of her current research is  prosodic changes in the speech of people with neurodegenerative conditions such as FTD and PPA. Prosody refers to elements of speech such as speech rate, pauses and intonation, and the goal is novel algorithms for automated speech analysis to establish reliable diagnostic biomarkers for neurodegenerative disorders.
