Quantum computing is the latest of several technology waves that Alexy has ridden over the past decade, including social media, a wide range of technology meet-ups in the San Francisco Bay area, blockchain applications, and the Internet of Things. His 2011 Penn Dissertation ("Mind Economy: Dynamic Graph Analysis of Communications") applied theories of social capital formation to a series of Twitter snapshots, showing how influencers gained followers in the "Bieberverse". After working for several Bay Area start-ups, he founded the series of By The Bay meetings (see their vast array of YouTube videos)  and served as Chief Community Officer for the Trusted IOT Alliance.
