Butcher 1st Floor

Hey there! My name is Emily and I’m a graduate student in the School of Social Policy and Practice (SP2) pursuing my masters in Nonprofit Leadership. I’m passionate about supporting community-minded nonprofit and civil society missions, as well as making nonprofits fair and effective places to work and grow. In 2014, I graduated from Vassar College after 4 happy years of political theory, German studies, cross-country/track, and countless dance parties. For the last several years, I’ve been living in Washington, DC and working at the Aspen Institute, a bipartisan nonprofit organization that fosters values-based leadership and the open exchange of ideas.

In my free time, I love to listen to podcasts, talk about things I learned while listening to podcasts, enjoy great local food and drink, and go to the movies. Having grown up with Canadian, American, and German parents, I enjoy learning about other cultures, meeting open-minded people and traveling whenever I can -- even if it’s just on the Eastern seaboard! I still love to run, although at a more chill pace these days, and will be looking for paths and buddies to explore with around campus.

Originally from northern New Jersey, I’m new to Philly and am thrilled to be living in Ware as your GA – can’t wait to meet you all soon!
