Participation in research projects, on and off campus, is one of the most important parts of many Penn students’ undergraduate experience. Your first year is not too early to start thinking about this -- and acting on your thoughts. We’ll discuss the nature and value of participation in research projects, how to find projects that fit your interests and skills, and how such projects can fit together with your coursework, your employment (both term-time and summer), and your evolving career plans.
