The following policies govern all reservable spaces in Ware College House:
-
McClelland Hall (North and South Lounge) and Morris Bodin Lounge are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis, and requests must be approved by the House Office.
-
Room reservation requests submitted for events run by Ware Staff (Senior Staff, RAs/GAs, or Managers), the House Council or meetings/training sessions run by affiliated administrative departments take precedence over requests submitted by outside groups.
-
Requests must be submitted to the House Office at least five business days prior to the requested reservation date.
-
Ware College House reserves the right to cancel or deny a reservation request at any time. Additionally, the Ware administration reserves the right to ban, restrict, or cancel reservations of groups for reasons such as violation of University policy or disregard for Ware’s facilities.
-
Groups are responsible for leaving spaces clean, vacuumed, orderly, free of garbage, with furniture returned to its proper place. Garbage must be removed and properly placed inside the trash chutes (located by either Quad gate). Groups will be charged for any housekeeping and/or any repairs incurred as a result of their use of the space.
-
Groups are responsible for adhering to the start and finish time of their reservation as agreed to by the House Office.
-
Groups must comply with the University of Pennsylvania Alcohol and Drug Policy.
-
Groups must advertise their event to the entire Ware College House community at least two weeks in advance of the reservation (certain exceptions apply to the South Lounge). Exceptions may be granted for groups who pay rental fees in exchange for use of a space. Please note: McClelland Hall (South Lounge) is now a reservable space. It is available on first-come, first-serve basis. Private student functions are not permitted in any public Quad space. |
